چکیده

The objective of this 2-year study (2017, 2019) was to evaluate the influence photoselective nets on apple fruit growth, focusing initial growth stages “Pink Lady”. Trees were subjected four (Blue, Red, White and Yellow) a standard black one (serving as Control), resulting in 5 light environments (LE), all shading at 20%. From 20 90 DAFB, 32 extension shoots, for each LE, measured total 11 times during season. For gauges also installed monitor daily parameters, from 50 DAFB. At harvest, environment weighed quality parameters 40 per treatment. year, correlations made test LEs final weight quality, impact that shoot had growth. In both years, white control led production fruits with higher compared other treatments (blue, red yellow nets). 2019, did not appear relationship between probably due crop load massive pruning carried out previous year. vegetative outburst year might have unbalanced resources towards than fruit. Results show how weather orchard management heavily influenced trees responses. Yet, consistent findings weight, indicate different wavelengths behavior, even early phenological stages. Hence, growers searching bigger should refer nets. Further studies approaching technology can help improve knowledge use

Putative PIP1 genes isolated from apple: expression analyses during fruit development and under osmotic stress.

To gain insight into the function of plasma membrane intrinsic protein (PIP) genes in apple, two genes, MdPIP1a and MdPIP1b, were isolated. MdPIP1 expression was in accordance with the volume increase during fruit development, which is a loading process of water and solutes. In addition, the expression of MdPIP1 was up-regulated in the stems by osmotic stress. These results indicate that MdPIP1...

Tissue-specific expression of SORBITOL DEHYDROGENASE in apple fruit during early development.

Sorbitol, the primary photosynthate and translocated carbohydrate in apple (Malusxdomestica Borkh.), is converted to fructose by sorbitol dehydrogenase (SDH; EC 1.1.1.14) which is active in apple fruit throughout development. In the apple genome, nine SDH genes have been isolated and their sequences characterized, but their individual expression patterns during apple fruit set and development h...

Apple Fruit Pectic Substances.

1. The pectic substances of apple have been extracted and separated into a pure pectinic acid and a neutral arabinan-galactan complex by precipitation of the acidic component with ethanol and with cetylpyridinium chloride. 2. The composition of the fractions has been determined. The pectinic acid contained galacturonic acid, arabinose, galactose, rhamnose, xylose and several trace sugars. 3. Tr...

Transcriptional analysis of apple fruit proanthocyanidin biosynthesis

Proanthocyanidins (PAs) are products of the flavonoid pathway, which also leads to the production of anthocyanins and flavonols. Many flavonoids have antioxidant properties and may have beneficial effects for human health. PAs are found in the seeds and fruits of many plants. In apple fruit (Malus × domestica Borkh.), the flavonoid biosynthetic pathway is most active in the skin, with the flava...
